Hiroyuki Hara
Born in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture.
After completing university and working outside of the prefecture, he returned to Kurashiki in 2010 to he returned to Kurashiki in 2010 and engaged in land management work in the family business Shono Tochi Co., Ltd..
In 2021, he established a corporation engaged in the travel business. He plans and develops tours based in Kurashiki, including one-day tours for inbound tourists.
He is also involved in the operation of the observatory as chairman of Kurashiki Observatory, the first private observatory in Japan, which his great-grandfather established in 1926.
In order to learn more about the company and the Kurashiki Observatory, he researched documents and other materials left behind by his predecessors. Through this research, he came to know about the “history of Kurashiki,” which has not been told much.
“I will tell everyone about Kurashiki, which has been handed down from the Hara family’s predecessors, in an easy-to-understand manner.”
